How to Play Sworple Word Tracing Game

Sworple is a tactile word tracing game. Trace words on your friends and see if they can read by touch.

Goal: Trace words on each other and see who can feel the word. The goal is to “read by touch” and guess as many words as possible.

Roles:

Tracer: draws the letters
Guesser: senses the word

Setup: Sit so the Tracer has easy access to the Guesser’s body location.

Play:

Draw a card (keep it a secret).
The Tracer slowly traces the uppercase word with their finger on the Guesser’s body part.
The Guesser says the word they feel and keeps the card when guessed correctly.

Winning: Play for a set number of rounds (10 cards each) or a set time (15 minutes). The player or team with the most correct guesses wins.

What is a good card game for someone who doesn't like card games?

Growing up, I never liked card games. I would dread whenever someone asked to play Monopoly or some other game. Well, here I am decades later making a card game called Sworple. The world needs a game that doesn't ask to think more in a world in which we already think enough. Too many of us are burnt out and overwork and need connection more than anything. One day while getting a massage, I had the idea make a word game that where you read by feel. I imagined the World Championship of such game. A bunch of people really in tune with their senses sitting in a park tracing words on each other. Sworple was born. I wanted a matte, simple cards that keep the focus on connection and the sensations rather than on the cards themselves. I also wanted to make the cards interesting and it was fall, so I made the first edition: Ghost Trace. After playing a couple rounds with my fiancé with the original version, we determined good locations for the cards and even came up with new ways to play. I...

Not another boring card game - Sworple is a game you actually feel

After a long, hard day of work, the last thing I want to do is sit there and play a game with many rules. I would dread when someone suggested to play a card game when there was nothing else to do. Then, I thought, if there was a card game for card game dreaders, what would it be. One day, while getting a massage, I had to idea to make a card game that connects people more to their body. There was already massage card games out there, but they aren't really needed as one can just give a massage without breaking the connection with their partner. So I made Sworple, a themed tactile card game where people trace words on each other and then guess the word. After a long, hard day of work, connecting with a partner or friend in an otherwise touch-deprived society is certainly something I would rather do. Rather than sitting at a table, it can be played on the couch, bed, or other relaxing places. Sworple is now available on Amazon.
